Cooking Steps
- Pat the peeled and deveined shrimp dry with paper towels and season with salt and pepper.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.
- Add shrimp to the hot pan and cook for 1-2 minutes per side until pink; remove and set aside.
- Reduce heat to medium, add minced garlic to the pan, and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Stir in lemon zest and smoked paprika, cooking for 15 seconds to bloom the flavors.
- Deglaze the pan with lemon juice, scraping up browned bits, then stir in butter until melted and the sauce slightly thickens.
- Return the cooked shrimp to the pan and gently toss to coat with the lemon garlic butter sauce.
- Remove from heat, stir in fresh chopped parsley, and serve immediately.
Notes
For extra lemon flavor, you can add a few thin lemon slices to the pan when building the sauce. Serve this with a side of rice or crusty bread to soak up all the delicious sauce!
