Cooking Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet and cook ground turkey until browned, then drain excess fat.
- Add chopped onion, minced garlic, and diced red bell pepper to the skillet; sauté until vegetables are soft.
- Stir in orzo, chicken broth, lemon juice, dried oregano, dried thyme, salt, and pepper.
- Bring to a boil, then cover and simmer for 10-12 minutes until orzo is tender and liquid is absorbed.
- Remove from heat and stir in fresh chopped parsley.
- Serve immediately, topped with grated Parmesan cheese.
Notes
For extra flavor, you can add a pinch of red pepper flakes with the herbs. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
