  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tsp cherry extract
  • 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 package instant cheesecake pudding mix (3.4 oz)

  • 1 tbsp coconut oil (for drizzle, optional)

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Place 9 cups of Rice Chex cereal into a large mixing bowl.
  2. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt 1 cup of white chocolate chips, softened cream cheese, and butter in 30-second intervals until smooth.
  3. Stir in vanilla and cherry extracts until the mixture is well combined and turns pink.
  4. Pour the cherry cheesecake mixture over the cereal and gently toss until every piece is evenly coated.
  5. In a large zip-top bag, combine powdered sugar and instant cheesecake pudding mix.
  6. Add the coated cereal to the bag, seal, and shake vigorously until all cereal is thoroughly coated.
  7. Spread the puppy chow onto a parchment-lined baking sheet to cool and set for 15-30 minutes.
Drizzling and Serving
  1. While the puppy chow cools, melt the remaining 1/4 cup white chocolate chips with optional coconut oil in 15-second intervals until smooth.
  2. Once the puppy chow has set, drizzle the melted white chocolate over the top.
  3. Allow the white chocolate drizzle to set for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

You can adjust the amount of cherry extract to your taste. For an extra festive touch, add some red food coloring to the cherry cheesecake mixture to enhance the pink color. This recipe is perfect for parties or as a fun treat.
