Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 2 Large Flour Tortillas
  • 1 cup Cooked Chicken shredded or diced
  • 1/2 cup Shredded Monterey Jack Cheese
  • 1 tbsp Olive Oil or Butter
  • 1/4 tsp Cayenne Pepper
  • 1/4 tsp Garlic Powder
  • Salt and Black Pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp thinly sliced jalapeƱos Optional
  • 1 tbsp hot sauce Optional

Equipment

  • microwave safe bowl
  • small skillet
  • non-stick pan
  • panini press

Method

Instructions
  1. Warm the cooked chicken in a microwave or skillet for a few minutes until heated through.
  2. Toss the warm chicken with cayenne pepper, garlic powder, salt, black pepper, and optional jalapeƱos and hot sauce to season it well.
  3. Lay one tortilla flat and sprinkle half of the Monterey Jack cheese over one half of the tortilla, leaving a small border around the edge.
  4. Spoon half of the seasoned chicken mixture evenly over the cheese on the tortilla.
  5. Sprinkle the remaining half of the cheese over the chicken mixture.
  6. Fold the empty half of the tortilla over the filling to create a wrap, or fold in the sides before rolling for a burrito-style wrap.
  7. Heat a skillet with olive oil or butter over medium heat. Place the folded wrap seam-side down and cook for 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown and crispy, or use a panini press for 3-4 minutes.
  8. Remove the cooked wrap from the pan, slice in half if desired, and serve immediately. Repeat the process for the second wrap.

Notes

For an extra kick, increase the amount of cayenne pepper or add a pinch of red pepper flakes. You can also customize the wrap with your favorite vegetables like diced bell peppers or onions. Serve with a side of cool ranch or sour cream to balance the spice.
