Method

Preparation
  1. Plan your bento components, including cooked chicken and pasta, a variety of colorful vegetables, and sweet fruits.
  2. Cook and cool the chicken and pasta, then slice all vegetables, fruits, and the hard-boiled egg.
Assembling the Bento
  1. Place the cooked chicken and pasta in separate main compartments of your bento box.
  2. Add the sliced hard-boiled egg to a separate section, and fill other compartments with carrot sticks, cucumber slices, and red bell pepper strips, arranging them neatly.
  3. Dedicate sections for the halved grapes and sliced strawberries to create a colorful contrast.
  4. Place whole-grain crackers in a separate compartment and pour hummus into a small, leak-proof container within the bento box.
  5. Optionally, use silicone cupcake liners or fun food picks for extra separation or visual appeal.
  6. Ensure the bento box lid is tightly closed and pack it in an insulated lunch bag with an ice pack if needed.

Notes

Feel free to customize the vegetables and fruits based on seasonal availability and personal preference. Ensure all ingredients are cooled before packing to maintain freshness and safety. For younger children, always halve grapes to prevent choking hazards.
