  • 1 pound large (16/20 count) shrimp, peeled and deveined, tails on or off
  • 4 tablespoons Unsalted Butter divided
  • 4-5 cloves Garlic minced
  • 1/2 Lemon for juice and optional wedges for serving
  • 1/4 cup Chicken Broth or White Wine
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh Parsley chopped
  • 1/4 teaspoon Red Pepper Flakes optional
  • Salt To taste
  • Black Pepper To taste
  • sugar or honey/maple syrup a pinch or a tiny drizzle
  • 1 tablespoon fresh chives, chopped for an herby twist

Method
 

Cooking Steps
  1. Pat the shrimp dry with paper towels and season with salt and pepper.
  2. Melt 2 tablespoons of butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat until it begins to foam.
  3. Add half of the shrimp to the skillet and cook for 1-2 minutes per side until opaque; remove to a plate.
  4. Melt the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter in the skillet, then cook the rest of the shrimp for 1-2 minutes per side; add to the plate.
  5. Reduce heat to medium, add minced garlic to the skillet and cook for 30 seconds to 1 minute until fragrant.
  6. Pour in the chicken broth or white wine, red pepper flakes (if using), and sugar/honey; simmer gently, scraping the pan.
  7. Return all shrimp to the skillet, squeeze in lemon juice, and toss to coat; cook for 30 seconds to heat through.
  8. Remove from heat, stir in fresh parsley and chives, and serve immediately.

Notes

For extra flavor, consider marinating the shrimp for 15-20 minutes before cooking. Adjust the amount of red pepper flakes to your preferred spice level. Serve with crusty bread or over pasta/rice to soak up the delicious sauce.
