  • 1 lb large shrimp peeled, deveined, tails on or off
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 garlic minced
  • ½ tsp red pepper flakes adjust to taste
  • ¼ cup dry white wine or chicken broth
  • 2-3 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • ¼ cup fresh parsley chopped
  • Salt to taste
  • Freshly ground black pepper to taste

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Pat the shrimp dry with paper towels and season lightly with salt and pepper.
Cooking
  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until hot.
  2. Add minced garlic and red pepper flakes; sauté for 30-60 seconds until fragrant, being careful not to burn the garlic.
  3. Add seasoned shrimp to the skillet in a single layer and cook for 1-2 minutes per side until pink and opaque, cooking in batches if necessary.
  4. Pour in white wine or chicken broth to deglaze the pan, scraping up any browned bits.
  5. Remove from heat, then stir in fresh lemon juice and chopped parsley.
Serving
  1. Taste and adjust seasoning with additional salt, pepper, or lemon juice, then serve immediately.

Notes

For best results, do not overcrowd the pan when cooking shrimp; cook in batches if necessary.
