Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 (8-ounce) wheel of Brie cheese
  • 1/4 cup fig jam
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoons chopped pecans or walnuts
  • Fresh rosemary sprigs for garnish, optional

Equipment

  • oven
  • baking sheet
  • parchment paper
  • sharp knife
  • serving platter

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a small baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Unwrap the brie and lightly score the top rind in a crisscross pattern, being careful not to cut too deeply.
  3. Place the brie on the baking sheet, then spoon fig jam evenly over the scored top and drizzle with honey or maple syrup.
  4. Sprinkle the chopped pecans or walnuts over the fig jam and honey.
  5. Bake for 15-20 minutes until the brie is soft and gooey, and the jam is bubbling.
  6. Optionally, tuck fresh rosemary sprigs around the edges after removing from the oven.
  7. Transfer the baked brie to a serving platter and serve immediately with crackers, crostini, or fruit slices.

Notes

For best results, use a high-quality double or triple cream brie. You can customize the nuts with other varieties or add a pinch of cinnamon for extra flavor.
