Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare your baking pan by greasing it or lining it with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, combine the eggs, milk, and 1/4 cup of the ketchup.
- Stir in the diced onion, minced garlic, breadcrumbs, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper into the wet mixture.
- Add the ground beef to the bowl and gently mix all ingredients until just combined.
- Transfer the meat mixture to the prepared loaf pan or shape it into a free-form loaf on the baking sheet.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the remaining 1/4 cup ketchup, brown sugar, and Dijon mustard for the glaze.
- Spread about half of the glaze evenly over the top of the meatloaf and bake for 30 minutes.
- Remove from the oven, spread the remaining glaze, and continue baking for another 25-35 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).
- Let the meatloaf rest for 10-15 minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
For best results, do not overmix the meatloaf mixture to ensure a tender texture. Resting the meatloaf after baking is crucial for juicy slices.
