Preparation
- Lightly grease the inside of your slow cooker or use a slow cooker liner.
- Place the chicken breasts in a single layer at the bottom of the crockpot.
- Evenly sprinkle the entire packet of dry ranch seasoning over the chicken breasts.
- Pour the chicken broth or water around the chicken, then dot the top with small pieces of butter.
Cooking
- Cover and cook on HIGH for 2-3 hours or on LOW for 4-6 hours, until the chicken is cooked through and easily shreds.
- Once cooked, shred the chicken directly in the crockpot with two forks, mixing it with the delicious juices and sauce.
