Prepare Chicken
- Place the chicken breasts or thighs in the bottom of your slow cooker.
Add Seasoning and Liquid
- Sprinkle the dry ranch seasoning mix evenly over the chicken, then pour the chicken broth over it, adding milk or half & half if desired.
Add Cream Cheese
- Place the softened cream cheese on top of the chicken; it will melt as it cooks.
Cook
- Cover the slow cooker and cook on LOW for 6-8 hours or on HIGH for 3-4 hours until the chicken is tender.
Shred and Serve
- Shred the chicken directly in the slow cooker, stir to combine with the sauce, garnish if desired, and serve warm.
Notes
For best results, do not open the slow cooker lid during cooking.
