Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and lightly flour a clean surface for rolling the dough.
- Roll out the pizza dough into a rectangle, approximately 10x16 inches and 1/8 to 1/4 inch thick.
Assembly
- Spread a thin, even layer of pizza sauce over the dough, leaving a half-inch border.
- Sprinkle shredded mozzarella evenly, then arrange pepperoni slices in overlapping rows across the dough.
- Cut the dough lengthwise into 1 ½ to 2 inch wide strips, yielding 8-10 strips.
- Roll each strip tightly from one end to create a rose shape.
Baking
- Place the pizza roses into a greased muffin tin, then brush with olive oil and sprinkle with Parmesan and oregano.
- Bake for 18-25 minutes until golden brown and bubbly, then let them cool in the muffin tin for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
For extra flavor, you can add a pinch of garlic powder to the sauce or a dash of red pepper flakes for a little heat. These pizza roses are great for parties or a fun dinner idea!
