Classic Valentine’s Day Pizza Roses

Ingredients
  

Pizza Dough
  • 1-2 lbs Pre-made Pizza Dough store-bought or homemade
Pizza Toppings
  • ½ cup Pizza Sauce
  • 1 cup Mozzarella Cheese shredded
  • 1 small package Pepperoni Slices about 40 slices
Finishing Touches
  • 1 tbsp Olive Oil
  • 2 tbsp Parmesan Cheese grated
  • 1 tsp Dried Oregano or Italian Seasoning

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and lightly flour a clean surface for rolling the dough.
  2. Roll out the pizza dough into a rectangle, approximately 10x16 inches and 1/8 to 1/4 inch thick.
Assembly
  1. Spread a thin, even layer of pizza sauce over the dough, leaving a half-inch border.
  2. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella evenly, then arrange pepperoni slices in overlapping rows across the dough.
  3. Cut the dough lengthwise into 1 ½ to 2 inch wide strips, yielding 8-10 strips.
  4. Roll each strip tightly from one end to create a rose shape.
Baking
  1. Place the pizza roses into a greased muffin tin, then brush with olive oil and sprinkle with Parmesan and oregano.
  2. Bake for 18-25 minutes until golden brown and bubbly, then let them cool in the muffin tin for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

For extra flavor, you can add a pinch of garlic powder to the sauce or a dash of red pepper flakes for a little heat. These pizza roses are great for parties or a fun dinner idea!
