Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a baking sheet or line it with parchment paper.
- In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium-high heat until no pink remains, then drain excess fat.
- Return the beef to the skillet, stir in taco seasoning and 1/4 cup water, then simmer for 2-3 minutes to meld flavors.
Assemble
- In a medium bowl, combine softened cream cheese, ranch mix, cheddar cheese, and the seasoned ground beef, mixing well.
- Unroll both cans of crescent roll dough on the baking sheet, pressing seams together to form one large rectangle.
- Spread the beef and cheese mixture evenly over the dough, leaving a small border.
- Carefully roll the dough tightly into a log from one long side.
Bake
- Slice the log into approximately 1-inch thick rounds and arrange them cut-side up on the baking sheet.
- Bake for 15-18 minutes until golden brown, puffed, and bubbly.
- Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving with optional toppings.
Notes
For seamless crescent rolls, look for dough labeled "seamless" or "dinner rolls" to avoid pressing perforations. Customize toppings to your preference for a variety of flavors and textures.
