  • Baking sheet
  • Parchment paper (optional)
  • Medium bowl

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a baking sheet or line it with parchment paper.
  2. In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium-high heat until no pink remains, then drain excess fat.
  3. Return the beef to the skillet, stir in taco seasoning and 1/4 cup water, then simmer for 2-3 minutes to meld flavors.
Assemble
  1. In a medium bowl, combine softened cream cheese, ranch mix, cheddar cheese, and the seasoned ground beef, mixing well.
  2. Unroll both cans of crescent roll dough on the baking sheet, pressing seams together to form one large rectangle.
  3. Spread the beef and cheese mixture evenly over the dough, leaving a small border.
  4. Carefully roll the dough tightly into a log from one long side.
Bake
  1. Slice the log into approximately 1-inch thick rounds and arrange them cut-side up on the baking sheet.
  2. Bake for 15-18 minutes until golden brown, puffed, and bubbly.
  3. Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving with optional toppings.

Notes

For seamless crescent rolls, look for dough labeled "seamless" or "dinner rolls" to avoid pressing perforations. Customize toppings to your preference for a variety of flavors and textures.
