- If using frozen shrimp, thaw them completely, then pat them dry and season with salt and pepper.
Cooking
- Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat with olive oil.
- Add minced garlic (and red pepper flakes if using) to the hot oil and cook for approximately 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add the seasoned shrimp in a single layer and cook for 1-2 minutes per side until pink and opaque, cooking in batches if needed.
- Remove the skillet from heat, then add butter and lemon juice, stirring to coat the shrimp.
- Stir in fresh chopped parsley, adjust seasoning as desired, and serve immediately.
Notes
For extra flavor, you can marinate the shrimp for 15-30 minutes before cooking. Serve with your favorite pasta, rice, or a side salad.
