Cooking Steps
- Pat the chicken breasts dry and season with salt and pepper; optionally, lightly dredge in flour.
- Heat olive oil and 1 tablespoon butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat, then sear the chicken for 5-7 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove chicken to a plate.
- Reduce heat to medium, add the remaining 3 tablespoons butter to the skillet, and sauté minced garlic for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Pour in chicken broth and lemon juice, scraping up any browned bits from the pan, and bring the sauce to a gentle simmer.
- Return the cooked chicken to the skillet, spoon the garlic butter sauce over it, and simmer for 1-2 minutes.
- Remove from heat, sprinkle with fresh chopped parsley, and serve immediately.
Notes
For extra flavor, you can marinate the chicken in a touch of olive oil and herbs before cooking. Adjust the amount of garlic to your preference; fresh is always best!
