Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 2 Chicken Breasts boneless, skinless (about 1.5 lbs total)
  • 4-5 cloves Garlic freshly minced
  • 4 tablespoons Unsalted Butter divided
  • 1 tablespoon Olive Oil
  • 1/2 cup Chicken Broth
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon Juice freshly squeezed
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh Parsley chopped, for garnish
  • 1 teaspoon Salt or to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon Black Pepper or to taste
  • 1 tablespoon Flour or Cornstarch (optional, for dredging)

Equipment

  • Large skillet
  • Wooden spoon
  • Paper towels

Method

Cooking Steps
  1. Pat the chicken breasts dry and season with salt and pepper; optionally, lightly dredge in flour.
  2. Heat olive oil and 1 tablespoon butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat, then sear the chicken for 5-7 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove chicken to a plate.
  3. Reduce heat to medium, add the remaining 3 tablespoons butter to the skillet, and sauté minced garlic for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Pour in chicken broth and lemon juice, scraping up any browned bits from the pan, and bring the sauce to a gentle simmer.
  5. Return the cooked chicken to the skillet, spoon the garlic butter sauce over it, and simmer for 1-2 minutes.
  6. Remove from heat, sprinkle with fresh chopped parsley, and serve immediately.

Notes

For extra flavor, you can marinate the chicken in a touch of olive oil and herbs before cooking. Adjust the amount of garlic to your preference; fresh is always best!
