Preparation
- Thaw frozen shrimp completely, then pat them very dry with paper towels. Lightly season the shrimp with salt and pepper.
Cooking
- Melt butter and optional olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add minced garlic and cook for about 1 minute until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
- Add shrimp to the skillet in a single layer and cook for 1-2 minutes per side until pink and opaque. Avoid overcooking to prevent rubbery texture.
Finishing
- Remove the skillet from heat and stir in fresh parsley and lemon juice. Taste and adjust seasoning as needed before serving immediately.
Notes
Serve this delicious shrimp with crusty bread to soak up the extra garlic butter sauce, or over pasta or rice for a complete meal. Adjust the amount of garlic and lemon juice to your preference.
