  • 1-2 teaspoons Vanilla Extract good quality
  • 1 pinch Salt optional

Method

Preparation
  1. Ensure your cream cheese and butter are at room temperature for a smooth, lump-free frosting.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened butter and cream cheese together with an electric mixer until smooth, light, and fluffy.
  3. Beat in the vanilla extract and salt until just combined.
  4. Gradually add the sifted powdered sugar, one cup at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  5. Increase the mixer speed to medium and beat for 1-2 minutes until the frosting is light, fluffy, and smooth.
  6. Adjust consistency by adding milk/cream if too thick, or more powdered sugar if too thin.
  7. Use the frosting immediately on your cooled red velvet cake or other desserts.

Notes

For best results, make sure all dairy ingredients are at room temperature before you start. This ensures a smooth and creamy frosting without any lumps.
