Cooking Instructions
- In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook ground beef and chopped onion, breaking up the beef until browned and the onion is softened (5-7 minutes).
- Drain any excess fat from the pan.
- Reduce heat to medium, then stir in minced garlic and taco seasoning, cooking for one minute until fragrant.
- Add water and simmer for 5-7 minutes until the liquid has mostly evaporated and flavors are blended.
- While the beef simmers, warm your taco shells according to package directions or by briefly toasting/microwaving.
- Set out the warm beef filling, taco shells, and all your desired toppings for assembling.
Notes
For a healthier option, use lean ground turkey instead of beef. Customize toppings to your preference, including guacamole, jalapeƱos, or cilantro.
