Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil for easy cleanup.
- Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels and place them skin-side down on the prepared baking sheet.
Seasoning & Baking
- Drizzle olive oil over the salmon fillets, then combine garlic powder, dried dill (if using), salt, and black pepper in a small bowl.
- Sprinkle the seasoning mixture generously over each salmon fillet.
- Slice half the lemon and place slices on each fillet, then squeeze the remaining lemon juice over the fish.
- Bake for 12-18 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily and reaches an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).
Serving
- Remove the salmon from the oven, garnish with fresh parsley or dill if desired, and let it rest for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
Adjust baking time based on the thickness of your salmon fillets. For a spicier kick, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the seasoning mixture.
