Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a 9x13 inch baking dish with cooking spray or butter.
Cooking
- Sauté fresh spinach, peppers, or onions for 3-5 minutes to soften and enhance flavor; ensure any pre-cooked meat is heated through.
- In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, salt, pepper, and optional garlic/onion powder until well combined and frothy.
- Spread vegetables and meat evenly in the baking dish, then sprinkle with half of the shredded cheese.
- Pour the egg mixture over the ingredients and top with the remaining cheese.
- Bake for 30-40 minutes until the casserole is set in the center and golden brown; a knife inserted should come out clean.
Serving
- Allow the casserole to rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing and serving for cleaner cuts and better firmness.
Notes
