Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil for easy cleanup.
- Pat the salmon fillets dry thoroughly with paper towels to ensure a better texture and proper seasoning adhesion.
- In a small bowl, combine olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, dried dill, black pepper, and sea salt, then mix well.
- Place the salmon fillets on the prepared baking sheet and spread the seasoning mixture evenly over each fillet.
- Bake for 12-18 minutes until the salmon flakes easily with a fork and reaches an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).
- Remove from the oven, let rest for a minute or two, and serve immediately with fresh lemon wedges.
Notes
For best results, use wild-caught salmon. Adjust baking time based on the thickness of your salmon fillets and desired doneness. A meat thermometer is recommended to ensure proper internal temperature.
