Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 4 salmon fillets skin on or off (preferably wild-caught for best flavor and health benefits)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried dill (or 1 tablespoon fresh, chopped)
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
  • lemon wedges for serving

Equipment

  • oven
  • baking sheet
  • parchment paper or aluminum foil
  • small bowl
  • brush or fingers

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil for easy cleanup.
  2. Pat the salmon fillets dry thoroughly with paper towels to ensure a better texture and proper seasoning adhesion.
  3. In a small bowl, combine olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, dried dill, black pepper, and sea salt, then mix well.
  4. Place the salmon fillets on the prepared baking sheet and spread the seasoning mixture evenly over each fillet.
  5. Bake for 12-18 minutes until the salmon flakes easily with a fork and reaches an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).
  6. Remove from the oven, let rest for a minute or two, and serve immediately with fresh lemon wedges.

Notes

For best results, use wild-caught salmon. Adjust baking time based on the thickness of your salmon fillets and desired doneness. A meat thermometer is recommended to ensure proper internal temperature.
