Preparation
- Thaw and pat dry frozen shrimp, then season with salt, black pepper, and half of the red pepper flakes.
Cooking
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat, then add seasoned shrimp in a single layer and cook for 1-2 minutes per side until pink and opaque.
- Remove shrimp and set aside, then reduce heat to medium and melt butter in the same pan.
- Add minced garlic and remaining red pepper flakes, sautéing for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Squeeze in lemon juice, stir well to scrape up browned bits, then return shrimp to the pan and toss to coat.
- Remove from heat, stir in fresh parsley, and serve immediately.
Notes
For extra flavor, you can add a pinch of lemon zest along with the lemon juice. This dish pairs wonderfully with pasta or crusty bread to soak up the delicious sauce.
