  • 1.5 cup dry long-grain white rice
  • 3 cups water
  • 1 lb large raw shrimp peeled & deveined (frozen is fine; thaw first)
  • 2 Tbsp extra-virgin olive oil or neutral oil
  • 4 fresh garlic minced (approx. 1 tsp)
Sauce Ingredients
  • 3 Tbsp honey
  • 0.25 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1 Tbsp rice vinegar
  • 0.5-1 tsp sriracha or chili-garlic sauce optional
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 tsp cornstarch dissolved in 1 tsp water
Garnish & Serving
  • 2 Tbsp scallions thinly sliced
  • 1 Tbsp toasted sesame seeds
  • fresh cilantro leaves Handful
  • 2 cup steamed broccoli, edamame, or snap peas optional
  • Lime wedges for serving

Cooking Instructions
  1. Rinse the rice under cold water until it runs clear, then combine it with water in a saucepan and bring to a boil.

Notes

For best results, do not overcook the shrimp. They cook quickly and can become rubbery if left on the heat for too long.
