Main
  • 2 8-ounce cans crescent roll dough
  • 1 pound deli roast beef thinly sliced
  • 10 slices provolone cheese
Topping & Au Jus
  • 1/4 cup butter melted
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch optional, for thicker au jus

Equipment

  • Oven
  • Large baking sheet
  • Parchment paper
  • Small saucepan

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.
Assembly
  1. Unroll one can of crescent roll dough onto the baking sheet, pressing seams to form a solid rectangle.
  2. Evenly distribute the sliced deli roast beef over the dough, leaving a small border.
  3. Arrange provolone cheese slices over the roast beef.
  4. Unroll the second can of crescent roll dough over the cheese, pressing seams and crimping edges to seal.
Baking
  1. Whisk together melted butter, Worcestershire sauce, onion powder, and garlic powder; brush over the top dough layer.
  2. Bake for 18-22 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the dough is cooked through.
Au Jus & Serving
  1. While baking, simmer beef broth in a saucepan; for thicker au jus, whisk cornstarch with cold water and stir into the broth, simmering for one minute.
  2. After baking, cool for 5 minutes, then slice into squares and serve immediately with the warm au jus for dipping.
