  • 16 oz good quality chocolate (dark, milk, or white, or a combination), chopped
  • 1/2 cup crushed peppermint candies (candy canes work perfectly!)
  • 1 cup small pretzels broken into pieces
  • 1/4 cup festive red and green sprinkles
Optional Toppings
  • 1/4 cup dried cranberries
  • chopped nuts or mini marshmallows

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat for easy removal.
  2. Melt the chopped chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals or using a double boiler until smooth.
Assembly
  1. Pour the melted chocolate onto the prepared baking sheet and spread it evenly into a thin layer with an offset spatula or spoon.
  2. Immediately sprinkle the crushed peppermint candies, pretzel pieces, sprinkles, and any optional toppings over the chocolate.
Finishing
  1. Chill the baking sheet in the refrigerator for 30-60 minutes until the chocolate is completely firm.
  2. Remove the bark from the refrigerator and break it into irregular pieces by hand or cut with a knife.
