Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 can refrigerated crescent dinner rolls (8-ounce)
  • 4 ounces cream cheese (softened)
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup fresh or frozen cranberries (roughly chopped)
  • 1 Powdered sugar (optional, for garnish)

Equipment

  • Oven
  • Baking sheet
  • Parchment paper
  • Small bowl
  • Sharp knife
  • Wire rack

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a small bowl, beat together the softened cream cheese, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
Assembly
  1. Unroll the crescent dough onto the prepared baking sheet, pressing the seams together to form a large rectangle.
  2. Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the dough, then scatter the chopped cranberries on top.
  3. Starting from a long side, carefully roll the dough into a log.
  4. Using a sharp knife, cut the log into 12 equal slices, about 1 inch thick.
Baking and Serving
  1. Place the sliced bites cut-side up on the baking sheet and bake for 12-15 minutes, until golden brown.
  2. Let them cool slightly before transferring to a wire rack, then dust with powdered sugar if desired before serving.

Notes

For extra flavor, you can add a pinch of orange zest to the cream cheese mixture. If using frozen cranberries, there's no need to thaw them beforehand.
