Preparation
- In a medium saucepan, melt sweetened condensed milk, chocolate chips, and butter over low heat, stirring constantly until smooth.
Flavoring
- Remove from heat and stir in peppermint extract and a pinch of salt until well combined.
Setting
- Pour the mixture into an 8x8 inch parchment-lined pan, sprinkle with crushed candy canes, and refrigerate for at least 2 hours until firm. Once firm, cut into 1-inch squares.
Notes
For easier cutting, lightly grease your knife with non-stick spray.
