Method
Blueberry Swirl
- Combine 1/2 cup fresh blueberries and 1 tablespoon maple syrup in a small saucepan.
- Cook over medium-low heat, mashing berries until a jam-like sauce forms, then let it cool.
Yogurt Base
- In a medium bowl, mix Greek yogurt, remaining maple syrup or honey, and vanilla extract until well combined.
Assembly
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and spread the yogurt mixture evenly about 1/2-inch thick.
- Spoon cooled blueberry sauce dollops over the yogurt and swirl with a knife, then scatter remaining fresh blueberries.
Freeze and Serve
- Freeze for 2-3 hours until firm; remove from freezer.
- Lift parchment paper and break or cut the yogurt sheet into bite-sized pieces to serve.
Notes
For extra flavor, consider adding lemon zest, almond extract, cinnamon, or cocoa powder to the yogurt base. Adjust the sweetness of the blueberry swirl and yogurt base to your preference. These bites are best enjoyed straight from the freezer for a refreshing treat.
