Prepare the Special Sauce
- In a small bowl, whisk together all special sauce ingredients until well combined. Taste and adjust seasonings as desired, then set aside.
Cook the Ground Beef
- Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat, then add ground beef and cook until fully browned; drain excess grease. Season the beef with salt, pepper, onion powder, and garlic powder for extra flavor.
Assemble the Wraps
- Lay a tortilla flat and spread a generous amount of special sauce down the center. Top the sauce with seasoned ground beef, then immediately place a slice of American cheese over the hot beef to melt slightly.
Finishing Touches and Folding
- Sprinkle shredded lettuce, chopped dill pickles, and optional sesame seeds over the cheese. Fold in the sides of the tortilla and tightly roll it up from the bottom; repeat for remaining wraps.
- Optionally, lightly toast the finished wraps in a dry skillet over medium heat for 1-2 minutes per side until lightly golden brown.
Notes
For a lighter option, consider using lean ground beef or turkey. You can also customize your toppings with tomatoes, onions, or jalapeños for an extra kick.
