Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
- In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium-high heat, then drain excess grease. Stir in onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper, cooking for one more minute.
- Slice the entire slab of slider rolls horizontally, keeping them connected, and place the bottom half in the baking dish. Spread the seasoned ground beef evenly over the bottom rolls.
- Arrange American cheese slices over the beef layer, then place the top half of the slider rolls back on top.
- Melt butter in a small bowl and brush it over the tops of the slider buns, sprinkling with sesame seeds if desired.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly and the rolls are golden.
- While baking, whisk together all special sauce ingredients (mayonnaise, French dressing, sweet pickle relish, white vinegar, sugar, onion powder, garlic powder, and paprika) until combined.
- Remove sliders from the oven and transfer the entire slab to a cutting board. Separate the sliders and open each.
- Add a dollop of special sauce, a sprinkle of chopped white onion, shredded lettuce, and a few pickle chips to each slider.
Notes
For an extra kick, add a pinch of cayenne pepper to the special sauce. You can also toast the sesame seeds lightly before sprinkling for a deeper flavor. These sliders are best served immediately, but leftovers can be reheated gently in the oven or microwave.
