- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease an 8x8 inch baking dish or pie plate.
- In a medium bowl, whisk the eggs until they are well beaten.
- Add the cottage cheese, milk, salt, and pepper to the beaten eggs and whisk gently until just combined.
- If using, stir in any fresh herbs, shredded cheese, or other desired add-ins.
- Pour the egg mixture into the prepared baking dish.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the eggs are set in the center and lightly golden brown; a knife inserted should come out clean.
- Remove from the oven and let rest for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
Full-fat cottage cheese and cream will add more richness to the dish. Do not overmix the egg mixture, as a few small cottage cheese lumps are desired for texture. The resting period helps the eggs firm up before serving.
