Method
Prepare Chicken
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Season diced chicken with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
- Cook chicken until golden brown and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Remove chicken and set aside.
Make Alfredo Sauce
- In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat, then add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer, stirring occasionally.
Finish Sauce
- Reduce heat to low, gradually stir in Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth, adding more cream if needed.
- Stir the cooked chicken into the Alfredo sauce and keep warm.
Prepare Bread Bowls
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Cut a circle around the top of each bread roll and gently hollow out the center.
- Save the scooped-out bread for dipping.
Make Garlic Butter
- In a small bowl, combine melted butter, minced garlic, and chopped parsley (if using).
- Brush the inside and outside of each hollowed bread roll generously with the garlic butter.
Assemble and Bake
- Spoon the Chicken Alfredo mixture into each garlic bread bowl and top with shredded mozzarella cheese.
Bake
- Place filled bread bowls on a baking sheet and bake for 10-15 minutes, or until cheese is melted and bubbly and bread is golden.
Serve
- Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
Notes
For extra flavor, you can toast the scooped-out bread pieces and serve them alongside for dipping. If your Alfredo sauce becomes too thick, whisk in a tablespoon of milk or chicken broth at a time until desired consistency is reached.
