  • 1 cup cooked broccoli florets Steamed or boiled, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese Or your child's favorite melting cheese
  • 1 egg To bind
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour Or breadcrumbs
  • garlic powder optional
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a baking sheet or line it with parchment paper.
Making the Bites
  1. In a medium bowl, combine the chopped cooked broccoli, shredded cheese, egg, flour, garlic powder (if used), salt, and pepper.
  2. Mix everything thoroughly until the mixture is well combined and firm enough to shape.
Baking
  1. Take small spoonfuls of the mixture, roll them into 1-inch balls or flatten them into small patties, and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
  2. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until they are golden brown and firm, then let them cool slightly before serving.

Notes

These bites are great for appetizers, snacks, or a side dish. You can also experiment with different cheeses or add a pinch of onion powder for more flavor.
