Preparation
- Place all whole spices into a dry pan and toast over medium heat for 3-5 minutes, shaking the pan frequently until fragrant.
- Remove the spices from heat and allow them to cool completely.
- Once cooled, grind the toasted spices into a fine powder using a spice or coffee grinder.
- Store the blend in an airtight container in a cool, dark place for up to 3 months.
Notes
Be careful not to burn the spices while toasting, as this can make them bitter.
