  • 8 oz feta cheese crumbled
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp honey plus extra for drizzling
  • baguette sliced and toasted
  • Fresh thyme or mint for garnish
  • Black pepper
Spicy Maple Glazed Nuts
  • 2 cups mixed nuts pecans, walnuts, cashews
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper adjust to taste
  • 1/2 tsp sea salt
Cucumber Bites with Smoked Salmon & Dill
  • 2 large cucumbers
  • 4 oz smoked salmon thinly sliced
  • 4 oz cream cheese softened
  • 2 tbsp fresh dill chopped
  • 1/2 lemon juiced
  • Salt and black pepper

Method
 

Choose Your Trio
  1. Select one appetizer from each category: Creamy (Whipped Feta & Honey Crostini), Crunchy (Spicy Maple Glazed Nuts), and Fresh (Cucumber Bites with Smoked Salmon & Dill). This combination provides a variety of textures and flavors for your guests.
Prep Ahead Power
  1. For the Whipped Feta, blend feta, olive oil, and 1 tbsp honey in a food processor until smooth, then refrigerate; toast baguette slices in advance and store once cooled.
  2. For the Glazed Nuts, toss mixed nuts with maple syrup, olive oil, smoked paprika, cayenne, and salt, then bake at 300°F (150°C) for 15-20 minutes until golden, letting them cool completely before storing.
  3. For the Cucumber Bites, slice cucumbers and chop dill, then mix softened cream cheese with lemon juice, half the dill, salt, and pepper, covering and refrigerating both.
Quick Assembly
  1. About 30-60 minutes before serving, spread whipped feta on toasted baguette for crostini and arrange on a platter.
  2. Transfer the cooled glazed nuts to a festive bowl.
  3. Top each cucumber slice with cream cheese mixture, then drape with smoked salmon for the cucumber bites.
Festive Finishing Touches
  1. Just before serving the Whipped Feta Crostini, drizzle with extra honey and garnish with fresh thyme or mint and a grind of black pepper.
  2. The Glazed Nuts are ready to serve as is.
  3. Garnish the Cucumber Bites with the remaining fresh dill.

Notes

Prep ahead to make assembly quick and easy before your guests arrive. For a spicier kick in the nuts, increase the cayenne pepper. Feel free to customize the fresh option with other ingredients like cherry tomatoes or mozzarella balls for Caprese skewers.
